Ear infection for the big

Called the pediatrician's office.  They had an appointment at 3:15--Perfect!!   Casey came home at 3:00, rolled off the bus and right into the van.  He was in a pretty good mood.  Julie said he had a good day.  He was very funny in the exam room.  We were telling the nurse what was going on and he asked her if they had wifi :)  They don't since it's a privacy thing.  

Dr. Queyquep said that he had fluid in his right ear, but not infected, and he has an infection in that darn left ear.  Oh, and she couldn't see the tube in either ear--we thought there should be one in the right ear.   

Casey has an ear infection. He definitely lots of purulent drainage coming out of his ear without the tube. So that means there's a little hole and the pus is coming out He's acting fine, although in school today he said, "Casey hot" and also "head hurt" a couple of times. Julie didn't take his temp but said he looked flushed and then looked better after the Tylenol. I agreed to put him on Amoxicillan and see how it goes. He hasn't been on many antibiotics so hopefully it will clear him up. Will be making an appointment with ENT in two weeks. Blah.

We hit DD on the way home (even though it was out of the way, ha ha).  Dunkachino, yum.

Gene went out later and got Casey's med.  He has to have it two times a day for 10 days.   

Nurse Debbie is out of town for a run or swim, I forget which, so I have the boys tonight.  I'm giving Casey Ibuprofen at bedtime in hopes for a comfy night.
